A Vancouver Funeral Service Company is looking for a Preparation Services Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating operations in the Preparation Care Centre with Embalmers, Apprentice Funeral Directors, and Transfer Staff assigned under this position. This person will be expected to work cooperatively with the Managers, Funeral Directors, Embalmers and Transfer Staff to ensure all services are coordinated and carried out appropriately and ensure the preparation area operates in an efficient and effective manner. We are looking for a highly ethical and respectful individual who will build a positive and cooperative environment in the workplace and among staff.

The Preparation Services Manager will require a valid BC Funeral Director and Embalmers License and have at least 10 years of funeral service experience. Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to handle multiple responsibilities. Must also have a good verbal and written command of the English language, and a valid driver’s license. Kearney Funeral Services Vancouver
We are a family owned firm serving the greater Vancouver area since 1908 and are looking for a Funeral Director to add to our growing team. We are looking for a Funeral Director to work primarily out of our new location in downtown Vancouver but duties may take the candidate to our other locations as required. The responsibilities would include arranging and directing funerals, coordinating with churches, doctors and other professionals, engaging and being active in the community and working with other team members to create a cohesive and cooperative working environment. The skills required include a recognized Funeral Directors license in compliance with requirements of the BPCPA act, a class 5 drivers license, the ability to communicate effectively in English (other languages an asset), logic and reasoning abilities and physical abilities required to work on services and assist with moving of caskets. Although a BC Funeral Directors license is preferred for the right candidate we are willing to facilitate the BC licensing transfer.
